FHC Tomorrow!

Tomorrow is the day! If you are reading this and are unable to attend for any reason, please let me know.
We will start at 8:00. So plan on being there a little after 7:00 to get signed in and ready to go.
Address: Address: 5872 SE 248th St. Lathrop, MO 64465
This is my sister's house, she has many kids, and is one of the most patient people I know, but please don't test her patience. Be respectful and kind, so we can come back again next year.
Directions: Take exit 40 (Lathrop Exit) off of 35 and turn left (west) on 116.  Follow 116 for 1.8 miles and take a left on Mule Barn Rd. Head south on Mule Barn Rd for 1 mile to 248th st. Take a right and house is there on the right. Park as far to the back/left of the property as you can (toward the barn). There are no restrooms on site before the ride, so plan accordingly (there is a gas station as soon as you exit off 35).
The weather will be absolutely perfect and winds will be favorable!
Once again you have until 11:30 to get to CP1 (mile 35.5) and 3:00 to get to CP2 (mile 69.5). If you don't make those times then you'd better start working your way back. There will be water coolers and rider sign in sheets at each check point.
Grub will start at 2:30, and will go until everyone is finished and it's all gone! If you want, bring something sweet to share and your favorite post ride beverage.
If you have any questions feel free to call me today at the shop (816-587-8181) or drop me a line.

Course and registration

Ok kids.
Rode the course again on thursday and it's awesome! 99.9 miles (100.0 if you manage to drop a water bottle like i did!) Very fun, very hard, and very hot!
I am requiring everyone to carry at least 3 water bottles for the entire course. I rode it in 6:50 and went through 14 bottles and was bone dry at the finish.
There will be 3 gas stations along the way at miles 35.5, 52 and 69.5.
A volunteer will be at cp1 (mile 35.5) and cp2 (mile 69.5). I decided to add the gas station at mile 52 in case anyone needs to stop in a fill up.
Water coolers will be at cp1 from 9:45-11:30 and at cp2 from 12:00-3:00. If you are not at cp2 (mile 69.5) by 3:00, please take hwy 116 east 8 miles to lathrop and call it a day!
If you have not registered on the below form, please do so HERE so I can get an accurate head count!
We will be serving pulled pork, slaw, beans, and cheesy corn starting at 2:30, so ride hard!
So HERE is the course. Map it, print it, garmin it, cue it and be ready to ride! I'll have maps race morning too. If you have any questions feel free to email me at or call the shop at 816-587-8181

Course is awesome!

I rode the course in its entirety yesterday with a couple friends, and it was fantastic!
There's one small section that will dictate whether it is 95 miles or 100 miles, but either way it will be hot, windy and hilly!
Once again if you want to register drop me a line at or fill out this form HERE
3 more weeks until race day! Go get in some gravel miles!

Final Thoughts

It's going to be hot.  Come ready to ride hard, but please be prepared for heat and drink plenty of water!  Start drinking now! (water that is); I don't care how many times you have to wake up tonight!
Go time is 8:00 tomorrow morning.   Cue sheets and maps are ready hand out and final preps have been made!
A couple house keeping notes: The Farmhouse Classic is just that.  A classic race from a classic old Farmhouse that my sister lives in.  Please show the respect and gratitude I have come to appreciate from fellow bike racers to my sister and her husband.  We will be racing up here as long as she'll have us!  As you are headed to the race, don't be afraid to stop and use the bathroom at a gas station or something.  My sister will open her house up to the handful of ladies that are racing, but the rest of us dudes are out of luck. Take exit 40 (Lathrop Exit) off of 35 and turn left on 116.  Follow 116 for 2 miles and take a left on Mule Barn Rd. Head south on Mule Barn Rd for 1 mile to 248th st. Take a right and house is there on the right.
My cell # is 816-820-0366.  Plug it in your phone now, but hopefully you won't need it.
Cell coverage is spotty, but please have you phone with you in case of emergency.
If any one has any questions feel free to drop me a line tonight.
Look forward to riding with all of you in the morning.
-Cheers and tail winds-
